I created this group with my son, Noah in mind. He is an amazing little boy that has overcome an aweful lot in his little life. My son was born at 26 weeks...three and a half months early. He had a grade three bleed on his brain and the doctors were not . . .

I created this group with my son, Noah in mind. He is an amazing little boy that has overcome an aweful lot in his little life. My son was born at 26 weeks...three and a half months early. He had a grade three bleed on his brain and the doctors were not giving us much hope for his survival. Through lots of prayer and a strong faith in God, Noah has overcome the odds. At 6 weeks old he had brain surgery to have a shunt put in his head to drain the fluid. The bleed caused hydrocephalis (sp?). Over the course of three and a half months he had many ups and downs in 3 different NICU's. He came home on oxygen and with a monitoring system. The first several months were very draining going here and there to visit different specialists and having therapist come to the home. At 2 years old now he has therapy twice a week at home and is absolutely thriving. I created this group in dedication to my son.

This group was designed with special needs children/parenting in mind. A place for parents to come and chat. A support group, if you will. It is meant to be an encouragement to others and a place to unwind. When joining this group please refrain from using profanity and in general be respectful of those you come into contact with. Please be sensitive to what others are going through in their individual situations and please be sensitive to what someone may share. Each persons situation is different than the next.
